While they are reading please make sure that you and the student  are filling out their reading log information nightly. Students are expected to read 25 books by the end of the school year. Please make sure that you are asking them questions while they are reading to help them with their comprehension skills.

We are working on narrative writing. Narrative writing is creating a story that can be used to write fiction and nonfiction essays. We will be working on supporting details and developing our character’s traits.

Students need to continue to work on multiplication and division. This week will begin working on fractions. Please continue to work with students in using math in everyday life. This can be done by having students  help you measure when cooking, calculate the amount of time that has lapsed between school coming home and before dinner.
